Busybody
The mystery begins with a very busy body – or two! Office cleaner Mrs. Piper discovers a dead body, and calls the police. But before they can arrive, it moves. Or did it? Detective Superintendent Harry Baxter is tired, cranky, sick with a cold, and unhappy to hear about a missing corpse. But Mrs. Piper insists she saw her boss’s body – until he walks into the room. Mrs. Piper might have been written off as well-meaning but confused, if not for a real body discovered on a distant hill. Paired with a growing pile of evidence, Baxter has to admit that more investigation is needed – preferably without Mrs. Piper. Love triangles and other motives keep the detective guessing (and the audience laughing). With an office full of suspects, Mrs. Piper continues to help (and hinder) the investigation, testing Harry’s patience while she outwits a murderer.
