The Waukesha & Pewaukee Convention and Visitors Bureau and Waukesha & Pewaukee Sports Committee work together in promoting sporting events, tournaments and tourism in the area. The committee has collaborated with the following sports organizations: Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association, Waukesha Tennis Association, Shorewood Table Tennis Club and Racers Against Childhood Cancer to successfully bid on sports events and to learn of future collaborative efforts.
Committee Objectives:
Promote the Waukesha & Pewaukee area as an attractive sports destination
Assist local sports organizations in the creation and operation of special events and tournaments which provide positive economic benefits to the area
Identify, recruit, and promote sporting events and meetings that bring out-of-town visitors to the area to enhance the local economy
Educate the public on the economic, public relations, and recreational value of sporting events and activities held within our area
Act as a sports information center for outside groups seeking help and advice regarding sporting events
Advise local sports and recreation organizations in terms of potential revenue streams associated with hosting special events and tournaments
